A Combo Friday...Our Monthly Picks plus Five On Fridays
We are kind of cheating this month and combining our regular Monthly Pick Post with our Five on Fridays...Does anyone else feel like July just started and now it is the last day? WHERE DID IT GO??
Ro is busy trying to figure out her next career move so I am holding down the fort to give her some time, and I STILL haven't recovered from vacation...so combo posts for the win.
So ...our top five books we are excited for in August...let me tell you there were loads on our list so I just grabbed a few...but we all will certainly be stacking shelves with a bunch of great books in August.

We were heavy on the thrillers this month so I didn't want to leave out my Rom-Com lovers, but also, I can't pass up a good royal trope book...
Piper Evans: elementary school teacher by day--avid romance reader and anonymous podcaster by night. She lives a quiet, reclusive life, taking care of her mother, who struggles with mental illness, avoiding her regrettable ex, who bartends in town, and trying to make inroads in the tight-knit island community that still sees her, five years in, as an outsider.
