Image
Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, the weekly Meme  hosted by Ambrosia of  The Purple Booker .  We make it very easy to play along, it is as easy as 1, 2, 3! 1: Grab your current read 2: Open to a random page 3: Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday. We have picked The Maidens as our September Book club read and I will admit I just started it, even though it is not quite September. I have been wanting to read this since it came out and have been very patient all this time and could wait no longer !! THE MAIDENS BY ALEX MICHAELIDES " My mother is sitting me down to tell me the news. I know something is wrong because she has brought me into the front sitting room, the on

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! This meme by  Kathryn at   The Book Date Oh my gosh guys tomorrow is the last day of August...can you believe that? I am still trying to figure out where the year has gone, but you know what they say...the older you get the faster time flies. I believe that!!! WHAT I AM READING RIGHT NOW... SUMMER ISLAND BY NATALIE NORMANN I am reading this on my kindle, so it is a nighttime, early in the morning read for me. ------------ Summer Island off the coast of Norway was the place London chef Jack Greene should have been from. He’s an outsider in the community that should have been his family, and now he’s setting foot on the strange land he has inherited for the first time. The welcome is a mix of distrust and strange gifts of food, especially from

Sunday Salon: Diningroom is finished!

Image
The Sunday Salon is hosted by  Readerbuzz  I was born into the military, both my parents were in, my entire life was spent on military bases around the world, I married into it, and I also raised a boy who grew up to be a military man, so first and foremost I would like to pay a small remembrance to the 13 servicemen and women who lost their lived this past week in Kabul and also the families left behind. It saddens me that these young men and women lost their lives at such a young age. --------------------------------------- We finally finished our dining room. It actually went so much easier than most of the rooms we have done! I know I said I was unsure about the blue, it seemed too bright, but once everything was put back in I loved it. When living in a 100-year-old house there is always the next project, so on to the Butlers pantry which is between the dining room and kitchen. We have ordered wallpaper for it and it will not arrive until September 9th so we have a bit of a breath

Hey guys. I want to try something new for the 28th of every month. I’m going to try and predict my 5 star reads but here’s the kicker. I’m a huge mood reader so what I think I’m going to read in September might not be read at all. Sounds fun right. Well were going to try. The first Two are Buddy Reads. Will I love them 🤷🏻‍♀️   The Mortal War is over, and sixteen-year-old Clary Fray is back home in New York, excited about all the possibilities before her. She’s training to become a Shadowhunter and to use her unique power. Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And—most importantly of all—she can finally call Jace her boyfriend. But nothing comes without a price. Someone is murdering Shadowhunters, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second, bloody war. Clary’s best friend, Simon, can’t help her—his mother just found out that he’s a vampire, and now he’s homeless. When Jac
