Can't Wait Wednesday- Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab
Can't-Wait Wednesday is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings and gives us a chance to highlight books we are patiently waiting to fill up our TBRs with.
Barnabas Collins... Dracula...that creepy guy on Salem's Lot... Lestat...Edward Cullen...I am sure there are other vampires that consumed my life at some point. I never turn down a chance to see a movie or read a book centered on the creepy, sexy? vampire. I look for movies, TV shows, and books for the newest one so Victoria E Schwab decided to indulge me this year. I don't know why I think I have read a book by Victoria E Schwab, when I look at the list of books she has written I never see one I have actually read, but when I am standing in a book store looking at her books I am always asking myself which one was it I read. So now.... I am going to read one, and that book is today's Can't Wait Wednesday...
Santo Domingo de la Calzada, 1532.
London, 1837.
Boston, 2019.
Three young women, their bodies planted in the same soil, their stories tangling like roots.
One grows high, and one grows deep, and one grows wild.
And all of them grow teeth.

BUT....
have I ever told you I am intimidated by long books and this one is more than 500 pages??
I hope you love this vampire tale. Given you're a huge vampire fan, I suspect you've already read it, but if you haven't - Certain Dark Things by Silvio Moreno-Garcia stands out as one of the best vampire stories that I've ever read.
ReplyDeleteI have not read that, I will certainly look it up
DeleteI will be picking this one up because of the vampires. I read Addie Larue and didn't love it like everyone else but I will give her another chance for vampires.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for this one! I have a hard time resisting vampire books.
ReplyDeleteI love the title. I think the last one I read was Certain Dark Things. I'll have to check this one out. Hope you enjoy it!
