IT'S MONDAY! WHAT ARE YOU READING?
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! This meme by Kathryn at The Book Date
-WHAT I HAVE READ -
BE READY WHEN THE LUCK HAPPENS
INA GARTEN
I have been watching Ina Garten cook for years, and I probably own most of her cookbooks so I was excited to read this. I will never be on the same level of pretentious as Ina Garten and this book certainly reminded me of that. Basic celebrity memoir, with a bit about Jeffery and her childhood, and way more about her buying her business, her Paris apartment, and her house in the Hamptons, along with a bunch of name-dropping of her celebrity friends.
--WHAT I AM READING NOW --
LOVE AND OTHER WORDS
CHRISTINA LAUREN
I am starting year three with my Voyage Book Group, and this year we are reading romance. I have enjoyed all the Christina Lauren books I have read, and have had this one on my shelf for a year, so I was glad to see it in my mailbox, it makes me read it!! I am enjoying it so far. I will be reading it slowly, I have a couple of months to get it read so working it in between others.
WHAT MOVES THE DEAD
T. KINGFISHER
Just started this audiobook late last night, so only one chapter in, but looking forward to this. I have read one or two of Kingfisher's books and they are a bit odd, but I like a bit of horror at times. This is on my 25 for 25 Challenge I am participating in.
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT ANTISEMITISM
RABBI DIANA FERSKO
Sadly, I hate to have to read a book with this title, but I have an 8-year-old who lives with us and also teach a classroom full of 3rd graders at Synagogue. I want to make sure how to answer some of the questions they might throw at me. They are smart kids.
That is all this week, be sure to let me know what you are reading, who knows I might need to add it to my TBR...until next Monday, happy reading
I have only read one Christina Lauren book, and really liked it. Love and Other Words sounds like it will be good. What Moves the Dead is on my TBR. I haven't tried anything by Kingfisher yet. It makes me sad too that books like Rabbi Diana Fersko's are necessary. I am glad those kids have you for their teacher. I hope you have a good week!
ReplyDeleteChristina Lauren and T Kingfisher are both authors on my TBR
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy reading week
Nice variety of books. I thought I'd read some Christina Lauren but checking my LibraryThing account shows that I haven't. I hope you enjoy the book. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI will look forward to reading what you think of We Need to Talk About Antisemitism. I'm currently reading Songs for the Brokenhearted by Ayelet Tsabari and am reminded how complicated our relationships with others really are.
