Sunday Salon-- A Slow and Quiet Week

The Sunday Salon is hosted by Readerbuzz

Oh man it was a week, a very cold week. I live in Oklahoma, we are either Southwest or just South, not one really knows, but the point is, it's not a place for a lot of cold weather. We were slammed this week
with temps in the single digits and wind chills is the minus whatever. I know some of you are use to it, but seriously I own a jacket...no coat...I WAS NOT PREPARED. Needless to say I barely stepped foot out the door.

Much of the state received snow, and we were suppose to get about 5 inches, but...ugh all we got was ice on ice on ice. I was so thankful that we did not have power outages.

Here are a few pictures I took..the first one is from today of the lingering ice....

and this is the day it was sleeting, freezing, whatever it was ...

Atlas was out of school all week, so pretty much we just laid around watching movies, reading and playing games. We were able to get some butter made and several pans of cookies for him to munch on through out the week. It was relaxing, but we all got a bit stir crazy, and he is happy he gets to go back to Shul this morning and school on Monday. I am happy the 60 degree weather will be back, I need to finish my garden prep.

That is about all we had going this week, it was quiet and slow, but now it will be back to the busy !

Hope your week was wonderful, don't forget to drop you link so I can come buy and say hello!

  1. I have a friend in Texas who complained about the cold all last week. They aren't used to it! At least, she didn't get ice. We've had a harsher than normal winter in Missouri, too, but at least we haven't had an ice storm. I really think those are the worst since it's impossible to walk or drive and they so often take out power -- such a dangerous situation.

  2. And yet there are people who still deny climate change! I hope it warms up quickly for you

Wishing you a happy reading week

  3. I am not used to this cold weather, and I have no coat either, so the last week has been hard on us here, too.

The ice photo is beautiful. I'm glad you joined us this week at Sunday Salon.

  4. That is cold for southern Oklahoma. I used to live in southeast Kansas, and we got a lot of ice. I hated it. So I am glad you got to stay inside and had no power outages.

  7. We get cold weather where we are, so I have many layers and still complain 😂 I'm in the South East, UK so it's warmer here than other parts of the UK 😂

It's sounds like a nice week. We have just finished the school holidays. My son needs the structure of a school day despite what he says!

    Have a great week!

  8. Brrrr... I would rather have 6 inches of snow than one inch of ice. Hope things warm up for you soon so it melts. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.

  9. Just because I live in the cold doesn’t mean I go out in it. LOL. But I do own a coat. I hope you have a wonderful week!
