Top Ten Tuesday-Top Nonfiction books You Never Reviewed
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
My first Top Ten Tuesday and I am going to totally change it up!. The theme seems to be Top Ten Non- Fiction You Never Reviewed. I usually review unless I DNF, so I am changing it up a bit and doing Top Ten NonFiction Books on My Shelf I Haven't Read...I have a lot
GOLD DUST WOMAN BY STEPHEN DAVIS
** I am not sure why I haven't picked this up and read this yet. I have been a Stevie Nicks/ Fleetwood Mac fan since High School- you know when they were in their prime. I also have a newer Bio on Christie McVie sitting on my shelves.
BIBI BY BENJAMIN NETANYAHU
This book is big and intimidating, and i can not tell you how many times I have picked it up and put it back down.
SPARE BY PRINCE HARRY
Love him or hate him, I picked this up and read a few chapters and put it down. I don't think he should have written some of the things he did. Also no need to come after me, he was my favorite Royal and I was excited when he married Meghan and thought it was fantastic that they were adding some diversity to the family, but I am a Royalist, and there were things they have done, that didn't set well with me. That's me...
THE WITCHES SALEM 1962 BY STACY SCHIFF
This is just one I haven't picked up yet, I have loads of Witch Trial books and even did my Senior Exit report on them but I just haven't gotten around to this one yet
TALKIN GREENWICH VILLAGE BY DAVIS BROWNE
This was sent to me to review, I spent 10 years in the music business and love any and all music, but I never got around to reading it. I haven't given up hope on reading it yet
THE NUMBER ONES BY TOM BREIHAN
Same excuse as the book above....
ALL BUT MY LIFE BY GERDA WEISSMANN KLEIN
Y'all I haven't read this and know I should, especially now. I know it will be a beautiful story because I know her story... She was in several camps throughout Poland and when the Americans came to finally liberate the one she was in a solider told her to follow him and she told him she was a Jew, and he said something like its ok he was also a Jew, and he rescued her and they married and they lived together until he died. Just this makes me cry, I just feel like I would bawl all the way through this so I keep putting it off.
I love Tudor history and have a shelf full. This book on the Stuarts was gifted to me, but I just don't seemed interested enough in them as I am the Tudors, so I haven't picked it up yet
I have never really been a big Foo Fighter fan but I have been a Dave Grohl fan, and right now I'm just a bit disappointed in him so I keep by passing by this. We all do things we shouldn't do and I know this, so I will get over it and evidentially pick this up.
A FREEWHEELING TIME BY SUZE ROTOLO
This is on my read soon pile, I am a huge Dylan fan so it's just waiting until I have the time to really take it in. I will probably watch A Complete Unknown before I read it, I wanted to see it Christmas Day bu things happen and the only movies I have seen since then are Sonic 3 and Dogman
That is all for me, please leave a link if you visit so I can pay a visit to your page!
My stack of nonfiction I have yet to read is pretty big too so I can relate. Witches is one of them, so we have that in common! I hope you enjoy all of this if and when you read them!
ReplyDeleteThat’s good to know about The Spare.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a neat list. Love how you explained why they weren't read. I need to add The Witches to my wish list. The Number Ones sounds good, too. How neat that you were in the music industry. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog today.
ReplyDeleteNonfiction is hard to review, so I understand you didn't!

Welcome to TTT! It's such a fun event. I hope you keep coming back for more :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also fascinated by books about the Salem Witch Trials. This is the only book I've read from your list, actually.
Happy TTT!
Nice twist to the topic. And some really interesting books there, I might want to pick up "The Number Ones", even though you put it aside. I have the same feeling about "Spare" as you do, I didn't buy it because I doubt I will like what I read.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my post:

Since you mentioned that you've been in the music business, have you ever read this one?

I really like it.
I don't read a ton of non-fiction (though I try to read 1 non-fiction book a month), but I'm curious about Spare. I haven't read it yet, though!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to TTT! I have a ton of nonfiction on my TBR as well! Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday, sorry for the late return.
ReplyDeleteThese all look good, especially the Stevie Nicks one and The Witches. I need to read more non-fiction. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI have The Storyteller on my TBR too. The news about him has been really disappointing and so I was thinking about unhauling it but I also got irritated cos I'd just added it to my shelf 😂 Let's see if I ever get around to it! I hope you enjoy all of these whenever you get to them.
