Book Date: What Are Your Reading

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? A place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit, comment, and… add to your groaning TBR pile! This meme by Kathryn at The Book Date

This past week was Spring Break so I did not get much reading done, we spent a few days doing things with Atlas, one day taking a little road trip, and one day to the museum to take a printing class. Both were fun and relaxing, so worth the time. The rest of the time, we have spent catching up on things around the house. We are in remodel, so there is always something to do right now.

WHAT I AM READING.....

Pretty much the same things I have been reading.....

SUMMER ON CAPE MAY BY MONICA GARNER

This will be on my reading list for some time, because it is on my Kindle which I only read in the night when I wake up and cant go back to sleep. I am a few chapters in and am enjoying it.

WHAT I AM LISTENING TO:

THE TRASHERS BY JULIE SOTO

Welcome to the Thrashers, the elite friend group at New Helvetia High.

They’re everything everyone wants to be.

Jodi Dillon was never meant to be one of them. Julian, Lucy, Paige, and the infamous Zack Thrasher are rich, sophisticated, and love attention. Jodi feels out of place, but Zack’s her childhood best friend, so she’s in.

Then Emily Mills, who desperately wanted to be a Thrasher, dies—and the whispers about the Thrashers begin. As Emily’s journal surfaces, detectives close in, and Jodi faces an impossible choice: betray her friends or protect herself.

But as eerie messages and strange occurrences escalate, it becomes clear—Emily isn’t done with them yet.

WHAT I READ..............

THE GHOST OF ROSE HILL BY R.M. ROMERO

I can not tell you enough how much I loved this book. It was absolutely beautiful, and sad , and a bit creepy ( not to much ). I am so happy that this was gifted to me.

SUCH A GOOD MOM BY JULIA SPIRO

This thriller wasn't horrible, but i had a hard time getting past the main character, who I thought was whiny and unlikable.

GOTHICTOWN BY EMILY CARPENTER

This sounded so good. Creepy title. Large gothic house. Eerie cover.
It fell so flat. I felt I was reading a family drama, with a bit of spook in it, and when I mean a bit, I mean it.

WHAT IS UP NEXT....

I have yet to pick a physical book to read, I have been standing looking at my shelves and piles and cant decide....

For my next audio I plan on listening to something on my 25 for 2025 list.

Comments

  1. Oh, dear! Such a Good Mom is on my review stack, and I was already iffy about it given that I'm not a big fan of domestic thrillers. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
