Top Ten Tuesdays: Things Characters Have Said

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. 

 Things Characters Have Said (Maybe a character said something really profound or romantic or hilarious or heartbreaking. You could share witty one-liners, mic-drop moments, snippets of funny dialogue between multiple characters, catchphrases, quotes that have become a part of pop culture–like “May the odds be ever in your favor.”, etc.)

I can't tell you how much I love Jace Wayland, or which ever name you call him by. The thing that struck me quickly was his wicked sense of humor.  I really think that he is the main reason I continued to read 6 books when I am NOT a series reader. 

So...ladies and gentlemen I present Jace Weyland and the crap he says...

1.  "Have you fallen in love with the wrong person yet?'

Jace said, "Unfortunately, Lady of the Haven, my one true love remains myself."

..."At least," she said, "you don't have to worry about rejection, Jace Wayland."

"Not necessarily. I turn myself down occasionally, just to keep it interesting."

2."If you wanted me to rip my clothes off, you should have just asked."

"I am a man" he told her, "and men do not consume pink beverages. Get thee gone woman, and bring me something brown."

4. "Not everything is about you," Clary said furiously.

"Possibly," Jace said, "but you do have to admit that the majority of things are."
