THE OBSESSIONS TRIALS II - April 5th-11th

a

I told myself I would read slowly this month…..

but apparently I thrive on emotional damage and questionable decisions.

Here’s where I’ve landed:

TRIAL 1

BOOK:

Immortal Consequences

PROMPT: Academic Competiton , Betrayal Between Friends

Too many POVs had me fighting for my life

but the afterlife academy?? the trials?? the climb to magic elite status??

I saw the vision and I respect it.

TRIAL 2

BOOK:

These Violent Delights

PROMPT: A Book About Obessession, A Forbidden Romance

My heart is shattered, my night was wrecked.

The ending? It should have been illegal

TRIAL 3

BOOK:

A Lesson in Vengeance

PROMPT: Set at a School, A Mysterious Death

This one? This is the atmosphere I’m chasing.

haunting, heavy, dripping in grief and guilt—

academia wrapped in secrets and slow unraveling minds.

obsessed with the characters, stayed for the tension, never recovered.

TRIAL 4

BOOK:

Half City

PROMPT: Forbidden Romance, Morally Grey Scholar

Grief-stricken demon hunter FMC sent to a school full of secrets?

dead father mystery?

and she falls for the demon?

Yes. Obviously. No notes.

If this week has proven anything, it is that I did not slow down, but that I did sink deeper into the genre. I am taking this week off from the challenge, as I have several commitments I need to get done, not to mention a few new books I want to read. So see you in two weeks for my wrap up
