It has been a bit since I have been here, life is always kicking us lately, but we are attempting to kick right back. Recently my mom was put on hospice so she left her apartment and has moved in with us. Boy is it a change. She does not like having to live with us ( she is 90 ) and she isn't very pleasant because of it LOL. Anyway, we are managing, but it is something we are all having to get use to!

Audio books have become my friend with all the things I am having to do, I am enjoying listening to them, BUT, I listen a lot at the end of the day, while laying in bed, and I have found myself having to rewind the entire book the next morning because I fell asleep!!!

    WHAT I READ LAST WEEK:


TERROR AT THE GATES BY SCARLETT ST CLAIR

Scarlett St. Clair wrote a series about Hades and Persephone that I just loved, so when I saw this book about Lilith, I knew I would enjoy it. I have heard many different stories of Lilith, she runs deep in Jewish folklore and my son had me read several books a few years back that featured her. I love how St Clair made her a strong woman who fought misogyny, instead of demonizing her like most stories seem to do.


WHAT I AM READING


THE NIGHT PRINCE BY LAUREN PALPHREYMAN

I am hoping to finish this up tonight, I am so close! This is a buddy read with the girls over at BOOKNERDS ACROSS AMERICA. It is the second book in a three book series. I really enjoyed the first one, WOLF KING, and I am enjoying this, but not as much, it feeels a bit like a filler book setting things up for the next book and not much else.


HELL TO PAY BY SHERRILYN KENYON

This is an ARC from Ingram and I am really enjoying it. It is about Luke, who is Lucifers son. He has been kicked out of hell and is working as a detective on earth called Infernal Affairs, they investiage cases that have a supernatural aspect to them. The crime is very interesting and Luke is one of the most snarky devils I have ever read, he keeps me laughing.

Top Ten Tuesday-Top Nonfiction books You Never Reviewed

Top Ten Tuesday  was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to  That Artsy Reader Girl  in January of 2018.
