The World of the Narrow Seas

I read this book as a 12 recommendations from 12 friends challenge. It is a YA book set in a fictional land and sea called the Narrows. It is about a young woman named Fable. I followed Fable as she went on dangerous missions on the wild sea, filled with pirates, greedy merchants and rogue trader ships. Fable had a secret that she had to protect, but her vivid red hair and her face marked her as the daughter of Isolde the gem sage. It's only through quick thinking, gold and gems exchanging hands in the dark alleyways, that she is able to come up top.

I enjoyed these two books that I read the novellas and companion books. It is definitely worth a read if you want to embark on a seaworthy ship.
