The Cerulean Chronicles

The House in the Cerulean Sea & Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Book 1: In the dreary and rainy city, quiet yet by-the-book, Linus Baker, a middle ages bachelor working for the Department In Charge of Magical Youth was called to Upper Management. Linus knew he never wanted to be called to Upper Management. He was sent out on a highly classified mission to inspect a orphanage on the remote island of Marsyas. There he found the Headmaster Arthur Parnassus and his six very unusual charges. Through the month that Linus Baker was there, he discovered that this house in the Cerulean Sea was not an orphanage but a home.

A home to Lucy a very dramatic young boy who loves classical rock, making world ending threats and baking. He also happens to be the Antichrist.

A home to Talia, a very protective and blunt female gnome. She loves to garden and threating to bury people in her garden.

A home to Theodore, a shy and adorable wyvern who has a fondness for buttons.

A home to Chauncey, a very enthusiastic, blob like creature from the sea. His dream is to be a bellhop at a hotel and practices daily with his family.

A home to Sal, a sensitive teenage shapeshifter who turns into a Pomeranian whenever he is scared or overwhelmed. His dream was to be a writer.

A home to Phip, a young forest sprite who loves her trees and struggles with her past trauma.

Linus Baker knew that this a was a home and decided that he had to fight to ensure they would never be separated. On his month on Marsyas Island, Linus learned how to truly live and love. It was only when he had gone back to his house in the city did he realize all that he was missing in his life.

Book 2: Arthur and Linus were slowly working on getting paperwork to adopt the six children, when they were told there was a young yeti boy named David was need a home. They immediately agreed to take him in. Arthur decided to go to court to share his abuse and neglect during his own childhood in the care of the Department In Charge of Magical Youth. There, is was announced that another inspector would come to investigate their home. Through this book, the children, Linus and Arthur all worked together to show the inspector that they were happy, healthy and safe. Shocked, they uncovered that people wanted to use Lucy to control the world and had no intention of keeping the family safe. It took the wisdom of a six year old boy to tell them "no" and that he would not be evil just because it was expected of him.

I truly enjoyed the series and I would recommend it to everyone.
