CAN'T WAIT WEDNESDAYS: FALLEN ROOK BY LJ SHEN

Can't-Wait Wednesday is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings and gives us a chance to highlight books we are patiently waiting to fill up our TBRs with.

FALLEN ROOK ( SOCIETY OF VILLIANS #3 )
L.J. SHEN

Tom

I know a secret that can destroy the most powerful crime organization in America.

For years, I’ve watched Enzo Ferrante get away with murder. Literally.

He’s slipped between the FBI’s fingers time after time, spreading terror and mayhem on the streets of New York, masked beneath a gorgeous face and elegant pedigree.

A sloppy error on his part results in an incident that unexpectedly binds us together.

Suddenly, I’m no longer the special agent who is thirsty for his blood.

I’m his savior. His god. The light in his pitch-black existence.

Now that I caught the social butterfly in my spider web, I’m never letting go.

He is about to taste the venomous kiss of betrayal as I put him and his entire family behind bars for the rest of their lives.

Because when the night falls, the Camorra’s enforcer crawls between my sheets and whispers all his sordid secrets in my ear.

Enzo Ferrante is completely and utterly mine, and no one knows. Not even not his lovely fiancée.

Society of Villians starts with Bad Bishop and Twisted Pawns. It is the story of two families that are in Organized Crime and I am addicted to it.

I picked up Twisted Pawn because of its pretty sprayed edges, I know I shouldnt buy a book by its cover, or in this case its edges, but I did, and I will never be sorry about it in this case ( I do however have a list of books I am sorry about buying for the same reason ).

Mostly I am a slow reader, but this book kept me reading, and I tore through it quickly. Only afterwards did I realize this was the second book in a series. Luckily, Society of Villians is a series of interconnected books that act as stand alones, so going back and reading Bad Bishop afterwards was fine.

Any way I am now counting the days until Fallen Rook comes out, I really liked Enzo in the previous story so am anxious to hear his story.
