Dark Matter Review

 Dark Matter

By BLAKE crouch

Let’s talk about Dark Matter

I knew nothing of this book other then I saw it here and there on bookstqagram. I personally love to walk into books knowing nothing about them but their genre. Well most the time. I heard Dark Matter was a sci-fi and while I agree with that it definitely fell into the suspense genre also. I was literally on the edge of my seat for this. I didn’t want to put it down but you know adult responsibilities (work). It’s suspense wasn’t the kind like who done it but more along the lines of why. I also found that it stuck with me as I thought what if there really is other me’s living better & worse life’s right now parallel  to the me your talk to🤯 .

This will make no sense to you unless you’ve already read this book or I share the synopsis so here you go:

“Are you happy with your life?”

Those are the last words Jason Dessen hears before the masked abductor knocks him unconscious.

Before he awakens to find himself strapped to a gurney, surrounded by strangers in hazmat suits.

Before a man Jason’s never met smiles down at him and says, “Welcome back, my friend.”

In this world he’s woken up to, Jason’s life is not the one he knows. His wife is not his wife. His son was never born. And Jason is not an ordinary college physics professor, but a celebrated genius who has achieved something remarkable. Something impossible.

Is it this world or the other that’s the dream? And even if the home he remembers is real, how can Jason possibly make it back to the family he loves? The answers lie in a journey more wondrous and horrifying than anything he could’ve imagined—one that will force him to confront the darkest parts of himself even as he battles a terrifying, seemingly unbeatable foe.

Do you believe in parallel universes?

  1. Lovely review, I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I don't think I believe in parallel universes, but don't mind reading books about it.
